The Spirit of Gitche Gumee is a Bed & Breakfast, Gift Shop, Coffee House. The B&B has four cozy guest rooms. In our gift store we feature rustic furniture, sculpture, clothing, wild rice, maple syrup, and unique items not found elsewhere. We serve the North Shores best coffee, espresso, and assorted drinks, along with fresh baked scones and cookies. The guest rooms feature Select Comfort beds, 2 have a view of Lake Superior and the other 2 overlook the woods. Each morning a cup of coffee and a fresh baked scone await those who stay with us. Spirit of Gitche Gumee is close to State Parks, Superior Hiking Trial, the Kitche Gammi bike trail and Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center. The Spirit of Gitche Gumee is located half-way between Duluth & Grand Marais at 6228 Hwy 61, Little Marais, MN 55614 (mile marker 63.5). This location has always had a tradition of hospitality, which was well established even in 1850.

DIRECTIONS From Minneapolis/St. Paul follow I-35 through Duluth to the freeway exit for Highway 61/North Shore Drive. Stay on Highway 61 until mile marker 63, continue 1/2 mile further and turn right into the parking area.
